Research
Although many people claim to know that exercise is important, most do not realize just how important it is. Furthermore, there can sometimes be confusion regarding the benefits of different types of exercise. All team members will conduct research about the benefits of exercise and what different types of exercise can do for your body. Consider these questions below when you are conducting your research:
- What are some of the benefits of exercise?
- What different types of exercising are there?
- Do these different types target specific areas of the body?
- How can one incorporate different types of exercising in their exercise routine?
Roles
The team will cooperate with each other to create a three day exercise plan. Groups will assign each team member a specific type of exercise to research and find activities that they would like to incorporate in their exercise plan(i.e. if someone has cardio they may suggest an activity such as running). In addition to this, each team member must research why a certain activity (i.e. swimming) is beneficial and what areas of the body it affects and why. In your group, you will then combine the information that you have researched to create a three day exercise plan.
Exercise Plan
The exercise plan will include:
- Three days of different types of activities
- An explanation to why these types of activities are beneficial and what parts of the body they affect
- The duration and intensity of the activity
- An explanation of why your team chose to include these activities in the exercise plan
